Huisman designed and delivered several custom-made rock dumping systems and ROV systems for subsea pipeline protection purposes. Most recently a rock dumping system has been delivered for Tideway’s Flintstone. Using a gimballing rock dumping tower and fallpipes manufactured from high grade aluminum and patented couplings the system can accurately position stones on the seabed up to 2,000m waterdepth. The system is equipped with a fully automated pipe handling system. The umbilical winches to deploy the ROV are equipped with an electric heave compensation system. Electric energy is stored and recovered from an electric energy storage system with high capacity super condensators.
